Diya came at 9. We went to the Wear­house and got the jacket. Then I told every­body what had hap­pened. Every­body was so excited. In the evening at around 5pm we all went over to Sahil’s place.

Sahil opened the door we all wished him. Then we all gave him birth­day bumps.

“So Sahil, did every­body wish you?” Manav asked Sahil.

“yes.”

“Yes she also.” Karan added.

“Who?” He did not understand.

“Riya who else.” Muskan.

“Yes”

“What did she say?” Puja in all excitement.

“Noth­ing she wished me that’s all.”

“That’s all.” Aakash in a dis­ap­pointed voice. By now he under­stood that I have told everybody.

“She accepted.”

There was a huge shout. We opened up soft drinks bot­tles. Then Sahil cut the cake. Then we gave him the gift.

“Sahil this is for you. From Riya for you.”

He opened the jacket then wore it. It suited him perfectly.

“Now read the card.”

“Se had given it to me when she was leav­ing. She told me not to tell you.”

”She had asked me for a promise I couldn’t let her down could I.”

“just a thank you won’t do we need a party.” Puja said.

“I am feel­ing hun­gry after all this I need a party.” Deepak hold­ing his stomach.

“Yes don’t you see Jug­head has lost such a lot of weight. He needs some refresh­ments.” Karan teas­ing Deepak.

“Okay, Mom has made, Chola batura for all of you.”

“Great where is it. My mouth is water­ing.” Deepak.

“Don’t worry you have a spe­cial share.” Sahil teas­ing Deepak.

We all just jumped on them. Then we went to the park where Sahil treated us all to an ice-​​cream. Then he sang a cou­ple of songs while play­ing his gui­tar. Then every­body left.

Sahil, Diya and I sat in the park for sometime.

“So Sahil how does it feel.” I asked.

“On top of this world.”

“What do you plan to do now?” Diya.

“What can I do.? She is far of in Delhi and I am in here in Calcutta.”

“Talk to her on phone.” I said.

“Its not pos­si­ble to do so everyday.”

“Any­thing you have in mind.”

“No not really.”

“Okay, send her a card.”

“No actu­ally she is com­ing next week.”

“Com­ing when? Why?” Diya asked in excitement.

“She said that they are hav­ing two weeks hol­i­day because some car­ni­val is going on in her col­lege. She will be here for about ten days.”

“Great.” I said.

“We should then make some plans.” Diya suggested.

“What plans?” Sahil asked in amazement.

“Well my father has a Resort in Puri we all can go there.” Diya suggested.

“That will be great.” I added. “We will hire a bus.”

“It will be so nice all in one bus.” Sahil said as if he had reached there.

“Wake up we need to make arrange­ments.” I said.

“Oh yes.” Sahil realised we were still in Kolkata.

“Lets go we need to work­out our bud­get and make plans need to inform every­body and get there par­ents too.” I said.

“Boy it’s get­ting so excit­ing.” Diya.

“How many are we?”

“Lets see, around 15 plus Rajeev, Aakash’s big brother and his wife. They are com­ing over this week­end.” I added

“Whose Rajeev?” Diya.

“Well he is Aakash’s big brother and he got mar­ried some six months ago. He is great fun.” Sahil.

“Yeah Bhabhi, is also so nice. What fun we had dur­ing the wed­ding.” I said.

“Where does he stay?” Diya enquired.

“He is cur­rently work­ing in Ban­ga­lore in an IT firm.” I said.

“It will be such a nice trip. Plus now our elders would also not worry we have some­body to look after us.” Sahil added.

“Now lets go, meet with every­body at my place, tomor­row evening we will finalise the plans.” I said.

“Come Diya I will leave you home.”

“Okay.”

I went to leave Diya. While leav­ing her I said. “Tell your dad to make the booking.”

“I will.”

“Bye sweet­heart.”

“Bye Janu.’

I left. Many ideas were spring­ing up in my mind. Wow every­body will be so excited to hear all this. I couldn’t sleep. I was just think­ing about the trip.
