“Aakash what hap­pened everything’s alright.” I asked.

“No.” He said tak­ing deep breath.

“What hap­pened?” Rohit asked, very concerned.

“Well tomor­row a guy is com­ing to see Puja with a mar­riage pro­posal.” Aakash.

“Well that’s good news. Who told you?” Rohit.

“Puja.”

“She must be happy.” I said with joy.

“No she is not.” Aakash’s tone had a bit of anger.

“Why?” Rohit.

“Well guys I want to tell you some­thing else first.”

“What?” I asked.

“Puja and I have been going around for the past 3 years.” Aakash.

“What? Hold on, six years.” Rohit.

“Yes. We did not tell you peo­ple as we were afraid her par­ents might come to know and you know how ortho­dox their think­ing is. Her par­ents saw us yes­ter­day and they have decided to get her mar­ried as soon as possible.”

“Oh my god. How can they do that.” I said astonished.

“You guys have got to help us.” Aakash.

“Yes but how can we help?” Rohit.

“Well I plan to marry her in court tomor­row. I want the two of you to be the witness.”

“Wait a minute is Puja also ready for this.” I asked.

“I have sent Nisha to call her and oth­ers. She will be coming.”

“Is there no other way?” Rohit asked.

“I hoped there was.” Puja came with oth­ers. “how did you come here.” Aakash asked Puja.

“Well my par­ents have gone out. Quick I have very less time they may come back any moment. What is the plan.” Puja.

“See my plan is that we will get mar­ried tomorrow.”

“It is impos­si­ble my par­ents will be with me through­out the day and besides the guy is com­ing over to see me tomor­row in the evening. It would be impos­si­ble for me to come out.”

“Wait a minute are you both really seri­ous about get­ting mar­ried.” Rohit.

“Yes we are.” Puja said.

“Puja. Be a lit­tle prac­ti­cal in life. Aakash and you haven’t fin­ished your stud­ies yet, besides where will the two of you go after run­ning from home. Think about the future before tak­ing any step. What good will it do, to you and your par­ents.” Nisha.

“When they don’t under­stand our feel­ings then why should we bother about them?” Aakash.

“Aakash I did not expected you to say such a thing, you always used to say that there is a solu­tion to every prob­lem no mat­ter how dif­fi­cult it may be. Mar­riage is not a solu­tion to the prob­lem, it only increases it. Will you be able to live know­ing you have hurt your par­ents with your act. They are your par­ents not your enemy.” I said.

“Aakash there is a gen­er­a­tion gap between us and our par­ents. The envi­ron­ment they were brought up in is com­pletely dif­fer­ent from the envi­ron­ment we are being brought up in. They always have good wishes for you and they want you to have the best in life.” Rohit.

“I agree with you all com­pletely but what can we do?” Aakash look­ing very tense.

“Don’t worry we will think of some­thing.” Sahil said.

“But what?’ Puja enquired.

“Well I have a plan?” Rohit.

“What?” Every­body in excitement.

“It is a risk, but a risk worth tak­ing.” Rohit.

“What kind of risk?” Sakshi.

“Aakash you Run away from home along with Puja.” Rohit.

“Are you nuts.” Manav.

“First lis­ten to me.” Rohit. Rohit told us the whole plan and Aakash and Puja agreed to exe­cute the plan. I was amazed at Rohit’s brilliance.

“What about Ash­win”. Puja asked.

“Now who is that?” Khushi.

“He is the guy who is com­ing tomor­row to see me.” Puja.

“Aakash just lis­ten to her she is more wor­ried about the guy who is com­ing to see her than you.” Karan said try­ing to tease Aakash.

“When is he com­ing?” Nisha.

“Do you know him.” Deepak.

“He is the son of my father’s friend, I have met him only once. He will be com­ing to my place at around 5’0’clock.” Puja.

“Do one thing. Bring him to the ter­race tomor­row, we will talk to him.” I said.

“Are you nuts?” Sahil looked aston­ished at the idea.

“Trust me. Every­thing will be alright.” I said with confidence.

“Alright but if any­thing goes wrong……” Aakash was worried.

“Don’t worry noth­ing will go wrong.” I said.

“So the plan is final tomor­row we meet here at 5’o’clock. Puja you will bring Ash­win with you.” Rohit said.

“Puja your par­ents are com­ing.” Sak­shi just saw the car come in.

“Okay bye guys we will meet tomor­row.” Puja.

“Bye Puja.” Aakash and Puja left.

“Tomor­row is going to be a very tough day.” Sahil said.

“Yeah, I hope every­thing works out.” Muskan said.

“Aakash, just relax Puja will be yours.” Nisha.

“Thank you.” Aakash looked a bit relaxed. “okay guys I have to leave. Bye.”

“We should also make a move. Bye.” Manav. Every­body left only Rohit, Nisha and myself sat for some more time.

“Rohit do you think the plan will really work.” Nisha.

“I don’t know, but I have a feel­ing it will.” Rohit.

“It’s very excit­ing. Oh I have got to tell Diya about it. I shall leave for now.” I said.

“We should also go.” Nisha.

“No you both sit I will come back.” I said and left the scene.

“Rohit, when I came here I did not know if I would be able to adjust in a new place like this. But see­ing your group and being a part of it feels won­der­ful.’ Nisha.

“Thank you. Actu­ally we all have known each other for a long time and under­stand each other very well. When you came we all felt the same about you and we knew you would gel in with us eas­ily.” Rohit.

“What did all of you think about me?”

“I had the opin­ion that you are a beau­ti­ful sweet girl .”

“After I slapped you in col­lege.” Nisha said laughing.

“Well that is a dif­fer­ent thing.”

“When I first saw you I thought, you were that type of guy who thinks Girls like guys with mus­cles and must be a spoil brat.”

“Really? Is that so?” Rohit.

“But now my opin­ion has changed.”

“What do you think now?”

“That you are a nice person.”

“Thank you.”

“Nisha can I ask you something?”

“Yeah sure.”

“How is this guy Piyush?”

“He is just amaz­ing he just knows how to charm a girl. He is a won­der­ful person.”

“Good.” Rohit said bit­ing his tongue.

“Let’s go.” Nisha said.
