Early in the morn­ing we had decided to go to the tem­ple. Then we all went to the beach. We played vol­ley­ball for some­time. It was great fun in the hot sun play­ing vol­ley­ball on the beach. We divided our­selves into a group of 2 boys, 2 girls thus mak­ing 3 teams. We played a tour­na­ment of sorts. The team of Manav, Sak­shi Dhruv and Khushi won. The win­ners were thrown one by one into the sea. Deepak was busy tak­ing photographs.

We then bathed in the sea water. The flow was very strong. Many a times while walk­ing near it we were pulled in by the strong current.

“Hey Sak­shi look out there is a strong wave com­ing towards you.” I shouted. She turned but was taken by sur­prise and was drawn in by the cur­rent. She knew how to swim but the cur­rent was so strong it was get­ting dif­fi­cult for her to fight it. The life­guards were also not to be seen. Then I remem­bered Manav he had a months train­ing to save drown­ing peo­ple, when he was learn­ing to swim. I rushed over to him he was sit­ting near the rocks nearby.

“Manav we need your help Sak­shi is in trouble.”

“Why? What hap­pened? “ he asked concerned.

“She was pulled in by the cur­rent. Lets go.” We ran to the spot.

Manav jumped in, while we tried to get a tube. Aakash got the med­ical bag He had pre­pared for the sit­u­a­tion. Manav got to her then pulled her to the shore. Manav had lost his breath. But did his best. Once they were near we pulled them up and car­ried her to a higher place.

Khushi gave her a mouth to mouth res­pi­ra­tion. While the other girls rubbed her feet. Once she regained con­scious­ness Aakash gave her some tablets. The girls took her to the Cot­tage for chang­ing. We guys also fol­lowed to our rooms.

“Manav, you were great.” Said Deepak.

“Yeah a real life hero.” Karan added.

“It was noth­ing, you should help any­body in trou­ble if you can.”

“Well let’s go. Change and meet us in Shakshi’s room.” Rohit added.

In another ten min­utes we met in her room. She was okay now, but just a bit tired after the fight against the current.

“Thank you Manav.”

“Oh come on. I am your friend right.”

“Right.”

“Then what is this thank you and stuff.” Manav said.

“But thanks anyways.”

“Get well soon. We need you fully fit. A lot of time is left on this trip and we don’t want you to miss on the enjoy­ment. Let her sleep for some­time.” Manav said.

We all left. Sak­shi went off to sleep. We went to the restau­rant to have lunch. After play­ing in the sun and bathing in the sea water, you feel very hun­gry. We had a nice meal. The hotel staffs were tak­ing good care of us. We then went to our rooms to have a nice after­noon sleep. The rest departed to their room. Diya, myself, Rohit and Nisha went to our room. There we played cards.

“It was so brave of Manav to jump and save Sak­shi.” Nisha said.

“Yes it was.” Diya added.

“Well guys I need to tell you some­thing.” Rohit said with a smile.

“What?” I enquired.

“Well before com­ing for the trip when my par­ents and I had gone over to Sakshi’s place there I had a talk with Sak­shi. She was talk­ing about Manav all the time. In the process she told me that she loves Manav. But she told me not to tell Manav as she was afraid that he would say no. I tried con­vinc­ing her to tell every­thing to Manav, but she was afraid.”

“What can we do?” Nisha asked.

“Well I have a plan.“ Rohit said.

He told us the plan. Then we went and told oth­ers the plan. Every­body knew what the plan was except Manav and Sak­shi. Even Rajeev and Ritu knew about our plan they had agreed to help. Then we went to sleep. Every­body was to assem­ble near the pool at 6’o’clock.

We all gath­ered near the swim­ming pool. Manav came late. Sak­shi also came.

“So how are you feel­ing Sak­shi.” Puja asked.

“Feel­ing lot bet­ter. That after­noon sleep really helped.”

“Well good to see you back hale and hearty.” Karan added.

“Well, what do we plan to do tonight.” Muskan.

“We can all play hide and seek.” Nisha suggested.

“What? That is a kids game.” Aakash said.

“So what it will be so fun.” Rajeev said.

“Yeah” Bhabhi added.

“We will have the police in pairs.” Dhruv added.

“First it will be Dhruv and me.” Khushi said.

“Okay, lets go and hide.” Puja.

“Count till 100.” Muskan.” We should be able to hear you.”

“Okay.”

We all went to hide. They caught us all. It was now Rajeev and Ritu’s turn to give the den as they were the first to be caught. We again hid this time our plan was dif­fer­ent. No mat­ter who got caught the first to be caught will be Sak­shi and the next Manav. The plan worked out. They got caught one after the other.

“Now it is your turn to give the den.” I said.

“Okay.” Sak­shi said.”

“Okay lets hide.” Diya said.

“Enjoy giv­ing the den.” Rohit said.

As we had planned we will run off from the place and sit in our respec­tive cot­tages. So we left them all alone.

“We are com­ing.” Manav said.

“Let’s see near the coconut trees.” Khushi said.

“No one’s here.”

“Well let’s check out behind the tables.”

“No one’s here either. Where did every­body go we have searched all over the place?”

“God only knows where they are hiding.”

“Lets see near the ten­nis court.”

“Okay.”

“Sak­shi you are feel­ing alright.”

“Yes. Thank you once again.”

“I said. No thank you no sorry.”

“I am sorry.”

“Again”

“Okay. No more.”

“Where is everybody?”

“Well its quiet some­time. Let’s go to my cottage.”

“Okay.”

They went to Sakshi’s room.
