A not so innocent prank…

“Oh my god, oh my god. What is all this. Holy shit.” Manav shouted. He was in a state of shock.

Why what happened?” Dhruv asked. Then Manav pointed towards the wall. We rushed in. On the wall was the printout of Manav holding Sakshi in his arms. The ones I had taken out.

That seems to be Manav and Sakshi isn’t it.” I said as if I didn’t knew anything

Yes it seems so.” Rohit.

How did this come here.” Manav.

Now what else proof do you need Manav.” Aakash.

hmm something is going on. That photo shows it all.” Sahil.

Yeah, you didn’t have faith in us.” Deepak.

But this is all wrong.” Manav.

Is it not you in the photo.” Karan.

Yes. But not the way you think.”

And what are we supposed to think.” I said.

Well I was holding her but not in that sense.” Manav.

What sense.” Deepak.

You were holding her. Weren’t you.” Karan.

Yes….”

You went after her after she got angry.” Sahil.

Yes..”

You were with all the time yesterday night.” Rohit.

You love her ? Say yes.” I said.

Yes…”

Hey he said it, yes he said it.” Dhruv.” I have got to tell this to everybody.” Dhruv tried to run out and Manav ran after him. We chased them.

Come back Dhruv, comeback. If you say anything see what I will do to you.” Manav while running.

They ran towards the swimming pool. All the girls had gathered there. Dhruv ran towards Sakshi. As soon as he reached her. He pushed her over Manav. Both lost control and fell into the pool. Manav caught hold of Sakshi.

Smile please.” I said and took a click.

Everybody just burst into laughter. Then we ran back to our room. Manav also came.

Why don’t you tell her that you love her.” Rohit.

I don’t know how to tell. Besides what will she think.” Manav.

Why do you worry when we are there.” I said.

We will help you.” Sahil.

Well let’s fix up a lunch for the two of you alone. In the restaurant.” Rajeev.

That’s a good idea.” Aakash.

Well okay.” Manav.

We planned the lunch. The plans were told to the girls but were told to keep it a secret from Sakshi. Then the two of them went for lunch.

Where is everybody else?” Sakshi.

Well come sit they must be coming.” Manav. They sat at the table we had booked for them.

what will you have” Manav.

Anything.” Sakshi.

Manav ordered. The waiter then got a cake in the shape of a heart and presented it to them.

What is this we did not order for it?” Sakshi surprised by it.

Well I did.” Manav. The waiter left. “Sakshi this is for you from me. Sakshi I love you.”

What did you say?” Sakshi said, she couldn’t believe her ears.

I love you.”

I love you too.” Sakshi and Manav got up and Hugged each other. As soon as they did we ran to congratulate them.

All the guys got a coke and showered it over them. Then they cut the cake and we had a party. We got the music rolling. Oh it was just lovely. We enjoyed ourselves. Then we all went to my room.

So Sakshi how do you feel?” Ritu. She just blushed.

Yesterday when we were saying the same. You acted as if nothing was there.” Aakash.

Well till yesterday there was nothing of this sort. But today I want to tell the world.” Manav.

What will you tell the world the world knows it by now.” Rohit. “don’t you see those photographs.” This time we had all the more photographs all over the place.

We all then went to the beach and sat over there. Then we told how we had worked out all the plan and how we had fooled them.

Sakshi and Manav were sitting and wondering how we could have done such a thing to them. But all that mattered was that they were happy and together.

It was evening. The sun was setting we took a walk on the beach the red sun seemed to have melted into the ocean. Then Diya and I moved away from others and went to the small rocky portion near the shore. We sat there.

Doesn’t this setting sun fascinate you.” I said.

Yes. It is so romantic. Janu don’t you have something beautiful to say on it.”

Well let me think. Okay.

The sun is setting.
Melting into the sea.
My heart is beating.
Every beat calling only thee.”

So romantic, how do you come up with such lines.”

Well once you are in front of me things just comes out. I wish you always stay in front of my eyes and I keep saying things like these.”

I will always be with you.”

I know. Because you live here in my heart.”

Janu I love you.”

Me too.”

The others were sitting and chatting. We also sat for some more time and then moved on where everybody was sitting. We played antakshari for some time. It was so fun to be with everybody.

After dinner all the guys gathered in my room. We all sat and were talking about the incidents that had taken place in the past few weeks. It seemed only like yesterday when we used to go to school, today we our in college. Trying to make something out of our lives.

Do you all remember how we used to bug the girls.” Karan.

Yeah.” Rohit.

Whenever they used to play with their dolls we would go and disturb them.” Aakash.

They would then go and complain to their moms and we would get a scolding.” Deepak.

These memories are so pleasant aren’t they.” Sahil.

Yeah.” Manav.

Hey Raj. How does it feel to be in love.” Sahil.

I can’t explain. I don’t have the words for it.” I said.” But I can tell you one thing it is a wonderful feeling.”

Yeah I agree.” Dhruv.
